As I updated this petition, I was blessed and grateful to see the number of signers like yourself, grow to over 135. This means so much to a veteran like myself, who is being denied essential care at home given my mobility issues, and physical condition, dues to Diabetes, and Edema/Cellulitis, unable to perform necessary care and treatment tasks on my own because of my limited range of motions, and shortcomings due to the conditions of my joints.
To be deprived this essential care by the Veterans Administration, and by Humanacare under Medicare, deprives me of basic himan needs like soaking my extremities, showering and basic care, clean laundry, or even a clean place to live and sleep, and eat, in ways that even a homeless person or POW would be afforded!
To know you cared enough to sign my petition, means so much to be and I am eternally greatful, for myself and for all the veterans I hoipe to improve this situation for.
Without your help and without volunteers to stop by and see what they can do to help out, which never happens, especially with COVID-19, hanging over our heads, I had been forced in a letter to the VA to threaten them by ending my life, if they didn't do right by me, as life just wasn't worth living any longer in such neglect and pain.
Please take a further moment to share my petition with all those you know who also care!
Again, thank you
Sincerely Hallis Mailen
