Summary of Pakenham gazette information

"We, the concerned citizens of Bunyip demand equal attention and funding for our growing town's infrastructure and community needs. Despite our town's growth, we face numerous challenges that require urgent action:

1. Upgraded facilities: Our town needs modernized facilities to accommodate its growing population.

2. Parks and sporting infrastructure: Our parks and sporting facilities are outdated and require repair and maintenance.

3. Road maintenance: Corrugated roads and grading issues need attention, and maintenance workers must do their job properly.

4. Family-friendly areas: We need designated areas for families and children, which are currently lacking.

5. Heritage building preservation: Our heritage buildings are neglected and require care and maintenance.

6. Support for locals: The council must prioritize domestic housing and support local residents.

7. Efficient processing: Land titles, permits, and other processes must be streamlined to avoid delays.

8. Transparency and accountability: The council must be transparent about their decisions and actions, and prioritize community benefits over developer interests.

9. Infrastructure upgrades: We need better signage, park upgrades, public toilet upgrades, and footpath construction.

10. Budget allocation: Our town deserves fair budget allocation, and rates should be reasonable and reflective of services provided.

11. Support for not-for-profits: The council must acknowledge and support the contributions of not-for-profit organizations, rather than relying on them to fill the gaps in council services.
