Support For Chris update October 18, 2026

Good evening everyone I Ronda T Payne would like to draw attention to some important information.

As my son Justice4ChrisPayne is going through this time of waiting I have been advocating on his behalf.

In doing so I have been contacted to speak about his case to different outlets which include but not limited to major networks.

While there’s a lot of interviews and people reaching out, I would like to clarify one thing.

While I thank each and everyone for their support I would like to clarify Frank Mrvan’s position in this case.

In June 2025 I reached out to Congressman Frank J. Mrvan’s office to see about getting some help on my son’s case. At that time his office wrote a letter to the US Embassy in Japan to inquire about the case which I am grateful, and As usual the Embassy responded almost right away. That was the end any follow up.

In 2026 when the first CBS interview was done, the news station reached out to Mrvan’s office to follow up. February 2026 is when the office reached out to the Embassy again. And after that no more follow up.

A relative reached out to the office and nothing transpired. I have never met Frank Mrvan in person and when I spoke to his office to set up a meeting even for 5 minutes to speak on my son’s case, they stated it could not be done.

I am requesting that if you are interested in showing support for Chris  please send your correspondence to Senator Todd Young. We are in constant connection and Senator Young has taken a more serious role looking into Christopher’s case and working with me to see how to get him home safely 

Also, please be mindful that Chris has been receiving regular Embassy visits since 2021. Our request to Mrvan’s office was a simple visit with me as a mother to discuss what could be done and to feel confident as a mother that our state rep was on our side.
