I am writing to provide an update. It is with great appreciation that I share a message from Mr. Kurt Dennis, who expresses his gratitude towards everyone who has shown support by signing the petition, reaching out to the board, contacting DPS, and participating in the rally. Your dedication has not gone unnoticed. Please see the letter he sent in the image above. 

For those who are able to attend the townhall meeting hosted by our incoming Mayor Johnstone this evening, I strongly encourage your active participation. It is an opportunity to voice your views and concerns on the issue at hand.

In order to maximize our impact, I kindly request that you continue sharing our petition. Let us strive to gather as many signatures as possible. Furthermore, please be aware that we are planning another rally upon the return of the board from their vacation. This timing, which coincides with the wrongful termination, highlights the urgency and importance of our cause. During this rally, we intend to present the gathered signatures to the DPS Board of Education and Superintendent Marrero.

Mr. Kurt Dennis has dedicated himself to the well-being of our children and the betterment of our community. Therefore, it is crucial that we do not relent until he is reinstated at MIS. The disruption caused to our children's education, the shaken state of our teachers, and the anger and pain felt within our community as the school year approaches within three weeks is simply unacceptable. These actions by the DPS management have demonstrated a lack of responsibility, which cannot be labeled as leadership.

As an incoming parent, I am committed to the cause of reinstating Mr. Kurt Dennis to MIS and will persevere until justice is served. I am confident that, together, we can overcome this obstacle and achieve our goal. Let us remain united and resolute.
