The Issue

To the leadership of Delta Air Lines,

As flight attendants at Delta Air Lines, our dedication and service to the company and its customers are unwavering. In return, we expect fair treatment and reliable support when it comes to our medical and disability claims. However, the current partnership with Sedgwick is failing us. Sedgwick, as the third-party company managing our medical disability claims, has created insurmountable hurdles for too many of us. Employees are experiencing significant delays, denials, and unfair treatment in processing claims that are rightfully ours.

Working with Sedgwick often forces employees to engage private attorneys to simply access the benefits we have earned. This not only entails additional financial burdens on us but also exacerbates the stress and mental strain we already face. We work hard for these benefits, and it is unacceptable that accessing them becomes a battle rather than a given.

Statistics and employee testimonies reveal consistent dissatisfaction with Sedgwick's handling of claims. Many Delta employees report unnecessary delays, flawed assessments, and a lack of clarity and compassion in communication. This broken system affects our ability to take needed medical leave or disability support, impacting our health, well-being, and financial stability.

We urge Delta Air Lines to terminate its contract with Sedgwick and seek a more competent, reliable, and employee-friendly third-party administrator to manage our on-the-job injuries, short-term disability, long-term disability, and medical leave claims. Delta has the power to create a stronger support system for its employees, ensuring that we can focus on our work without the constant worry over whether our claims will be honored.

By signing this petition, you're not only supporting the dedicated workforce of Delta Air Lines but also advocating for a workplace that respects and upholds the rights and well-being of its employees.

We call on Delta Air Lines to act with urgency and integrity. Please sign this petition to push for the change we need.
