Demand Congress Investigate Failures and Taxpayer Fraud in Public Education Services

Demand Congress Investigate Failures and Taxpayer Fraud in Public Education Services
The Issue
In the midst of a deadly pandemic and an unprecedented shift to remote learning, America’s children bore the greatest burden — especially those with learning differences, difficulties &/or disabilities.
As many as 7 million U.S. children are diverse learners — most of them Black &/or low-socioeconomic status (all races/ethnicities/genders) — were abandoned by remote learning in March 2020.
House/Senate Education Committee Members ~ Rep. Bobby Scott, Rep. Virginia Foxx, Senator Patty Murray and Senator Richard Burr, ACT NOW!
With a new administration and congress comes an opportunity and a responsibility to take action and reaffirm that the Federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) ensures all diverse learners (e.g., ADHD, autism, blindness, deafness, DeafBlind, Down syndrome, dyslexia, dyscalculia, et al) receive Free Appropriate Public-funded Education (FAPE) to meet their unique needs, attain literacy proficiency, and prepare them for further education, employment and independent living, and that each Federal taxpayer dollar that funds the Federal portion of the IDEA, ADA, Medicaid to Schools, Title I, et al is appropriately spent by local districts on students.
We ask Congress to please provide a safe space, free of retaliation, in open, public hearings, and take counsel from and hear IDEA eligible students &/or their parents attest to failures in implementation, oversight, enforcement &/or taxpayer fraud in regards to the spending of Federal taxpayer dollars.
