Demand China to Implement the Jianding TNR Project Nationwide

Demand China to Implement the Jianding TNR Project Nationwide
La causa
We demand that China implement TNR as a means of protecting cats that are victims of animal cruelty.
Addressed to Li Qiang (Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China)
We request that local and national authorities in China promote and implement the Jianding pilot TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) project from Shanghai Province nationwide. This project has proven effective in controlling and protecting the population of abandoned cats, improving their welfare, and reducing public health issues.
The TNR method involves capturing stray cats, sterilizing them, and then returning them to their territory. This not only controls the feline population but also improves coexistence between the cats and the communities.
The Jianding project has been a local success thanks to the participation of neighbors, volunteers, veterinarians, and even lawyers. We believe its national expansion will bring significant benefits, including the promotion, protection, and enforcement of laws against animal cruelty.
We urge the authorities to consider this approach as a humane and effective solution for controlling the stray cat population and stopping the impunity with which thousands of cats have been affected by inhumane individuals who cause harm.
Sign our petition and help make China a better place for cats.
