The moment we’ve been working toward is here! The Kansas City Council will have a final vote TUESDAY (12/10) to decide whether animal services will return to city management.

This is a critical opportunity to ensure our animals are cared for and our public is protected under improved services.

We need YOUR voice! This is the final step, and the council needs to hear from the community about how essential this change is for the wellbeing of animals and the safety of our city. If you’re able, please attend the meeting to speak on the record. Your stories and passion could make the difference.

Can’t attend?

1) Submit Public Testimony This is the most important action to take! Submit your experiences and frustration with the current state of Animal Services!

Email Public.Testimony@kcmo.org and ask them to attach your comments to Resolution 241043 


2) Contact your city council officials directly to express your support before the meeting. Let them know this vote impacts the future of Kansas City’s animals and the services they deserve.
