Dear Petition Supporters,
Thank you for your continued support in advocating for the return of animal services to the City of Kansas City. Please see below for an important update regarding the final Neighborhood Planning and Development Committee meeting of the year, happening tomorrow at 1:30 PM.
Your presence at this meeting is crucial! While the Kansas City animal services contract is not explicitly listed on the public agenda, it is anticipated that a decision may be made during the closed portion of the meeting.
The petition has been officially submitted for public testimony, but we need to amplify our voices even more. Please take a moment to send additional comments to the city clerk at the email address below:
The meeting agenda was just posted today, and while it does not directly address our request, we must continue to demand that animal services and animal control be prioritized and brought back under the city’s management.
Everyone is encouraged to attend the meeting in person to show visible support. You can also view the meeting online. Together, we can make a difference for the animals and our community.
Thank you again for standing for the animals of Kansas City!
