Petition updateDemand change following the death of Missy, after being at Toowoomba animal managementNegligent drop box closes due to capacity reached at facility
Sarah HToowoomba, Australia
30 June 2024

This has been placed on a side wire fence at the entry to the drop boxes. NO OFFICIAL OR PUBLIC ALERT has been posted or reported by Toowoomba regional council.

Tonight a dog was tied to a drain pipe at the facility and had chewed it way through the lead, making its way out the front next to a road. It's not known if the after hours number received a call about this dog tied up in the rain outside, it's also unclear if cameras have noted the dogs arrival and by who; or if an alert of camera activation has notified staff the dog was there. It was found wandering by a community member who went into the centre and found the chewed dog lead tied to downpipe, dog is now staying in her care and being checked for microchip details.

Please sign and share Missy's death should never have happened and had that dog tonight remained tied up and under duress (possibly she had recently given birth) and alone...another dog may have died.

Thank you for the support.
