Stoked to share that the Sex education sweets from Candy Kittens and Netflix collaboration that were harmful to the innocence and healthy sexual development of children have been completely removed from the Candy Kittens product range. The product is now nowhere to be seen on their website!! And most supermarkets apart from Ocado seem to have now completely removed them. Ocado have reduced them in the sale and marketed them as ‘adult only 18+’ confectionery! I’m sure Candy Kittens will argue that their partnership with Netflix has come to an end which is why you can no longer find the product. But we know that it’s because of all this backlash because they have also removed most of the digital footprint associated with the collaboration. So so thankful! It took 12 days, 6300+ signatures, £570 worth of generous petition donations, untold online shares & comments by you all, four instagram DM’s to Candy Kittens, a story in The Mirror Newspaper & other media outlets and it was all worth it - because not only have the products been taken off the shelves but they have been completely removed from the website - with very little positive publicity to be now found online associated with this collaboration and mainly only negative responses to what was an utterly inappropriate and harmful brand concept. One that I pray they will never dare repeat! Thank you so much everyone for supporting this cause. I’m so grateful to think of all the future children that will be protected from being exposed to these overtly sexualised themes at such a young age. And praying restoration of the minds and sexual development for any child that have already been inappropriately exposed to these sweets. Thank you for standing up for the precious little ones of this generation and for all the comments, the prayers, the shares, the complaints, the financial contributions towards this petition.
