I am deeply affected by the actions of Christina Paxson, the current president of Brown University. As reported by the National Review, she edited her speech to remove references to freedoms for Jewish students. This act not only undermines her commitment towards inclusivity but also raises questions about her willingness to stand up for all members of the community.

Brown University is a prestigious institution that prides itself on diversity and inclusivity. It is disheartening that its leader would choose not to acknowledge and protect these values in their entirety. The omission from her speech sends a message that some groups are less deserving of recognition and protection than others - an idea which goes against everything our university stands for.

We believe in a leadership that respects and acknowledges every member's rights without bias or prejudice. We demand either an apology from Christina Paxson for this omission or her resignation as president if she cannot uphold these fundamental principles.
