Demand Apology from The Theater Center on Broadway

Demand Apology from The Theater Center on Broadway
The Issue
Often, those who pay for services at venues encounter unimaginable rudeness and harassment, particularly from individuals in management positions who ought to be setting examples for others. Unfortunately, the incident that occurred on June 12, 2025, at The Theater Center on Broadway is a glaring example of this unacceptable behavior. During an event hosted at the venue, it was witnessed by dozens of attendees that venue manager Kathy verbally insulted several individuals involved in the event. Her use of misogynistic slurs and frequent use of the "F" word, all over a misunderstanding regarding a model accidentally wearing another performer's wardrobe backstage, is simply intolerable.
The attendees, along with Lovari, a Billboard Top 40 charting singer involved in the event, deserve a formal apology for this unacceptable conduct that tarnished their experience. Verbal assault and offensive language should have no place, especially from those in managerial roles responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of their patrons.
This behavior highlights a troubling trend persistent in the NYC venue industry, where poor treatment and disrespect come from those who are in positions of power. For too long, such conduct has gone unchecked and those responsible must be held accountable. As part of this petition, we urge The Theater Center to issue a public apology to Lovari and all attendants to show acknowledgment of their wrongdoing and promise change moving forward.
Furthermore, we advocate for The Theater Center to donate 50 percent of the event charges to a charity of their choice. This action will at least offer some peace of mind that positive change can stem from negative experiences.
Let's set a precedent for positive behavior in the NYC venue industry for everyone who visits and works there. Demand this issue be taken seriously and that no venue allows such derogatory behavior to go unpunished. Sign this petition to insist on a formal apology and a positive change in this community.
