In order to effect change, we need to elect politicians that believe that our parks and residential neighborhoods need sunlight.
Developers are running circles around the DOB and the BSA. And, even in cases where the developers and the appointees of the administration, are proven wrong (200 Amsterdam anyone?) the construction continues.
Laws have to be introduced or amended and A5026/S3820 promises to do just that. But, it won't happen without public support. Our petition has gained a lot of traction as COVID-19 weary New Yorkers venture out into the stunning parks of the City.
Our petition is sent to 60 legislators and staff members in the state. One signature has tremendous impact!
This isn't just about Central Park! The bill to close loopholes will protect every residential neighborhood in the state. So please, get a friend to sign, chances are they appreciate a little sunlight as well!
