Demand An End To Divisive Propaganda and Unconstitutional Misleading Of The Public

Demand An End To Divisive Propaganda and Unconstitutional Misleading Of The Public
The Issue
We The People are increasingly alarmed by the division and discord sewn by our nation's democratic political climate. Recently, there has been fervent discussion over President Trump's signing of Executive Orders alongside Elon Musk's efforts to investigate corruption within USAID and other affected areas. We firmly believe that constant harassment and the propagation of intentionally misleading information is unconstitutional, fueling unnecessary divisions among us.
These include false narratives and negative rhetoric aimed at belittling the Trump Administration. While critics argue that the administration's actions are wrong, we insist that every individual—irrespective of their political alignment— must undergo deep, fair investigation if they are suspected of causing discord. Along with these investigations, we must strive to deprogram the public from being influenced by fake, hateful and misleading news/reporters.
It is a well-documented fact that the propagation of fake news perpetuates division among citizens and upsets the public discourse. As per a survey by the Pew Research Center, around 64% of adults believe fake news has caused "a great deal" of confusion over basic facts of current events (Pew Research Center, 2016).
We urge you, our esteemed lawmakers, to stand against this divisive propaganda and unconstitutional misleading of the public. We demand fair investigations into those sowing discord among us and an unambiguous stand against the promotion of fake news. Help us unite as a nation; Sign this petition to put a stop to this destructive pattern now!
