As a proud Indian, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is not just a historical figure to me, but a symbol of our national pride, sacrifice, and integrity. Seeing our freedom fighters being insulted and history being distorted for political gains deeply hurts my conscience and my commitment to India's democratic and secular values. It is the moral responsibility of every citizen to protect the legacy of our national heroes so that future generations can learn the true history.

একজন গর্বিত ভারতীয় হিসেবে নেতাজি সুভাষচন্দ্র বসু আমার কাছে শুধু একজন ঐতিহাসিক ব্যক্তিত্ব নন; তিনি আমাদের জাতীয় গৌরব, আত্মত্যাগ, দেশপ্রেম এবং অখণ্ডতার প্রতীক। স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামের বীরদের নিয়ে অসম্মানজনক মন্তব্য এবং রাজনৈতিক স্বার্থে ইতিহাস বিকৃত করার প্রচেষ্টা আমাদের সকলের বিবেককে আঘাত করে। আমাদের জাতীয় বীরদের উত্তরাধিকার রক্ষা করা প্রতিটি নাগরিকের নৈতিক দায়িত্ব, যাতে আগামী প্রজন্ম প্রকৃত ইতিহাস জানতে পারে।

Recently, certain BJP representatives and leaders in West Bengal have made statements about Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and the Azad Hind Fauj that many people consider insulting and historically inaccurate. Such statements, if left uncorrected, risk dishonouring one of India's greatest freedom fighters and creating misunderstanding about our history. Netaji dedicated his life to India's independence and remains a symbol of courage, patriotism, and resistance against colonial rule.

সম্প্রতি পশ্চিমবঙ্গের কয়েকজন বিজেপি জনপ্রতিনিধি ও নেতা নেতাজি সুভাষচন্দ্র বসু এবং আজাদ হিন্দ ফৌজ সম্পর্কে এমন কিছু বক্তব্য দিয়েছেন, যা অনেকের মতে অসম্মানজনক এবং ঐতিহাসিকভাবে বিভ্রান্তিকর। এই ধরনের বক্তব্য ভারতের অন্যতম শ্রেষ্ঠ স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামী নেতাজির মর্যাদাকে ক্ষুণ্ণ করতে পারে এবং ইতিহাস সম্পর্কে ভুল ধারণা সৃষ্টি করতে পারে। নেতাজি তাঁর সমগ্র জীবন ভারতের স্বাধীনতার জন্য উৎসর্গ করেছিলেন এবং আজও তিনি সাহস, দেশপ্রেম ও ঔপনিবেশিক শাসনের বিরুদ্ধে সংগ্রামের প্রতীক।

Concerns have also been raised regarding attempts to change the name of a historic road in Birbhum that is named after Netaji. Such an action would not merely change a road name—it would diminish the importance of a landmark that commemorates our freedom struggle and the sacrifices of countless patriots.

এছাড়াও, বীরভূমে নেতাজির নামে নামাঙ্কিত একটি ঐতিহাসিক সড়কের নাম পরিবর্তনের প্রচেষ্টা নিয়ে উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে। এমন পদক্ষেপ শুধু একটি রাস্তার নাম পরিবর্তন নয়; এটি আমাদের স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামের স্মৃতি এবং জাতীয় ঐতিহ্যের প্রতি অসম্মানের শামিল।

We demand that the concerned leaders publicly withdraw their statements where appropriate and issue an unconditional apology to the people of India. We also call for greater respect towards our national heroes, historical landmarks, and the values they represent.

আমরা সংশ্লিষ্ট নেতৃবৃন্দের কাছে দাবি জানাই যে, প্রয়োজনে তাঁরা তাঁদের বক্তব্য প্রত্যাহার করুন এবং দেশবাসীর কাছে নিঃশর্তভাবে প্রকাশ্যে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করুন। পাশাপাশি, আমাদের জাতীয় বীর, ঐতিহাসিক স্মৃতিচিহ্ন এবং দেশের ঐতিহ্যের প্রতি আরও সম্মান ও সংবেদনশীলতা প্রদর্শনের আহ্বান জানাই।

I appeal to every Indian who respects our history and our freedom fighters to support this petition. Together, let us send a strong message that **Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose deserves dignity, respect, and historical accuracy—not political controversy.**
