We are all growing older and time is running out for us - please share this petition and help us raise awareness of these issues. Many people don't realise that coercive and forced adoptions happened in large numbers in England. Many people never talk about their experiences as mothers whose children were taken, or as adult adoptees who may never have found their blood relatives.

In his book "1984", George Orwell said:
"Children will be taken from their mothers at birth, as one takes eggs from a hen."

Our children were taken from us. 
We had no choice.
Our children had no choice.

Please help us find a measure of peace through a formal public apology which acknowledges the cruelties we all endured.
