Petition Update July 29, 2026
Harassment of Salis Hanrahan’s family continues:
Even from a continent away, and often from Americans. Character attacks and sensationalist clickbait keep spreading.
Salis Hanrahan, may God rest his soul, remains a conviction-free victim. Some have gone so far as to repeatedly share an image of a summons from a minor court case in another country, trying to paint him as something he was not. Not a conviction, no proof of any “crime”. Not unlike a summons millions of us have gotten for a traffic violation.
As an American and as a human being, I must remind the public: any court summons from another continent does not give anyone the right to shoot an unarmed man dead… and then walk his dog.
No call was made by Barr to any authority, not before the civil contract dispute, not during the discussion of that contract, and not after Salis was shot and left to bleed out. Instead, the accused killer chose to walk his dog while an unarmed young man died. Bleeding out.
We will not back down to threats, racist remarks, or hostility directed at Gypsies, Travelers, and other ethnic communities. We will not be silenced.
Justice will be served by the American legal system and without prejudice. Salis’s childhood is not on trial. His killer will be.
Please share this. Call out the lies and the slander. Salis Hanrahan has no convictions in any country. This fact makes some people angry. Why?
A man without a rap sheet and without a weapon lost his life to a man who had both. That fact alone should make any person of conscience demand justice for the victim.

Thank you for every signature and every share and every promotion to change.org. You are making a difference. You are helping set the precedent that the killing of unarmed young men will not go without consequence, that human rights and civil rights will not be blinded by the good old boys who would treat ethnic cleansing as acceptable.
Rest in peace, Salis. Prayers and protection for his family against those who place supremacy over truth and over humanity.
God bless Salis’s family.
