Demand Action on TDS: Schedule the TDS Research Act (H.R.3432) Now

The Issue

We, the undersigned, urge the House Committee on Energy and Commerce to immediately schedule H.R.3432 – the TDS Research Act of 2025 for review.

This bill directs the NIH to study the psychological and social causes of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), a condition that has led to extreme emotional reactions, obsessive behavior, and widespread harassment, both online and offline.

While TDS severely affects those experiencing it, it also harms the rest of us. Every day, neutral or moderate individuals are verbally attacked, bullied, and slandered simply for expressing a different opinion. Social media is flooded with hate, not debate, where disagreement is met with slurs like “pedophile,” “rapist,” “Nazi,” or “racist.” This isn’t political discourse. It’s emotional abuse.

Our youth are watching! They’re growing up in a digital world where hate is normalized and disagreement is dangerous. If people are willing to obsessively attack strangers online, how are they treating their own families behind closed doors?

We believe:

  • This is a public health issue, not just a political one.
  • The longer we ignore it, the more dangerous it becomes.
  • Studying the root causes is the first step toward healing and accountability.

We call on Chairwoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers and the Committee to prioritize this bill. Like stated above, this isn’t just about politics. It’s about mental health, public safety, and the future of civil discourse. Please sign and share if you’ve felt the impact, or if you believe it’s time we finally address the root of this toxic behavior.
