TEXAS HEMP BAN UPDATE!

Hi, it's David Weinberg.

I wanted to update you on the battle over Texas's hemp ban. As of late June, DSHS began enforcing restrictions on THCA, which effectively bans products like smokable hemp. The department says businesses need to comply immediately. On top of that, the Texas Supreme Court has ruled that DSHS can add Delta-8 back to the controlled substance list, which could open the door to even broader restrictions on hemp products down the line.

It doesn't stop there. Last week, the Texas Senate Health and Human Services Committee held a hearing to prepare for a renewed legislative push to ban consumable hemp products altogether next session. Senator Perry has already said he will file another ban bill.

If you haven't noticed already, enforcement is happening now, and lawmakers are gearing up for another fight in the 90th session. That's exactly why we need to keep the pressure on. Please keep sharing this petition and encourage others to sign. The more support we build against this ban, the harder it is for Austin to ignore that this isn't what Texans want.
