Milestone Reached: Over 1,375 Signatures—and Growing!

Dear Supporters, First, thank you to everyone who has signed, shared, and supported this petition so far. Thanks to your incredible support, we have officially crossed a major milestone: over 1,375 signatures! Our community's voice is growing louder every day, but our work is far from over. As many of you know, Darris James Wilson was sentenced in mid-September to a two-year house arrest sentence for the tragic 2022 collision that took the life of 12-year-old Sierra Beverly and left her mother, Naomi, with catastrophic injuries. Like so many of you, we believe this sentence does not reflect accountability for a stolen life. Where things stand right now The Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General and the Crown Attorney’s Office have a strict 30-day statutory window from the date of the sentencing to officially file a Notice of Appeal. As of today, no public announcement has been made regarding whether an appeal has been filed. We cannot let this 30-day window slip away in silence. We need the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General and the Brantford Crown Attorney’s Office to know that the community demands a formal review of this sentence. How you can help today
