Council hears this Tuesday, Nov 3: here's what the City's own report says

Thank you to everyone who has signed. We're over 370 signatures, and Council hears this on Tuesday, November 3.
Here's what we found in the City's own planning report:
A strip beside the school was originally designated to preserve a tree stand. Council is being asked to remove that designation after the trees were already cut down.
The City says the trees were assessed in February, in winter, when they had no leaves. We've asked to see the assessment, and we have filed an Access to Information request.
The report gives different figures for how much school land is lost: about 1.25 hectares, or more than 8.
The words "wildlife," "habitat," and "nest" don't appear in it.
We're asking Council to defer until the assessment is public, confirm which numbers are right, require a buffer and developer-paid replanting, and order a wildlife review.
How you can help:
Email city.clerk@edmonton.ca as soon as you can, referring to Bylaws 21646 and 21647 (items 4.4 and 4.5), so your comments go to all of Council.
Share this petition in your neighbourhood groups.
I'll post what happens on Tuesday.
