Demand Accountability for Artworks Destroyed by Jeff Abbott and No Limit Collectibles

The Issue

I am a local artist who had two of my prized paintings displayed at Gorehound's Playground in Fort Collins, CO from 2019 - 2023. These pieces, crafted from countless hours of dedicated labor, not only represented my passion, but they also added to the vibrant atmosphere of the theater, contributing to the cultural fabric of our community. Heartbreakingly, they have been thoughtlessly disposed of by Jeff Abbott and No Limit Collectibles, dramatically highlighting the lack of safeguards and respect for artists' work and leaving me in despair.

Our community is full of talented artists, and the unfortunate incident I've faced is not an isolated one. According to an Artist Rights Society survey, 67% of artists have had their work misused or disrespected in some form. This incident illuminates an urgent need to implement policies and procedures that protect the rights and works of local artists, preventing similar situations in the future.

Along with demanding justice to recover and compensate for my lost artworks, this petition also seeks to prompt Gorehound's Playground , No Limit Collectibles and other local establishments to respect and honor local artists' contributions. We call upon Jeff Abbott to take responsibility for his actions and for the creation of an enforced code of conduct or terms of agreement that ensures the protection of displayed artworks.

By signing this petition, you help to not only remedy a personal tragedy but also work towards a future where artists' rights and contributions are protected and revered, fostering a vibrant and inclusive community atmosphere. Please join our cause, sign, and share this petition.
