Mayor Steve Rotheram was asked on his thoughts on this petition today on BBC Radio Merseyside, and he’s completely dodged the question - I don’t know about you, but this doesn’t sound like accountability or transparency to me.

If you’d like to hear Mr. Rotheram continuing to claim that Merseyrail is up to a reliable standard, have a listen on Tony Snell, starting about 2 hours and 4 minutes, with him being asked about the petition at 2 hours and 29 minutes.
