As a resident of McAllister Trails subdivision in Dothan, AL, I believe our community's funds could be better utilized. Recently, $2500 per year was allocated for the installation of a Flock security camera. While safety is paramount, I question whether this investment is truly the best use of our resources.

Our park area could greatly benefit from these funds. Improved parks can enhance property values, increase physical activity levels among residents and provide safe spaces for children to play (National Recreation and Park Association). Yet our park remains overlooked and unused. 

This petition seeks to give voice to all residents who may share these concerns. We are questioning our committee members whether we should continue funding the Flock security camera or redirect those funds towards improving our neighborhood park so it can be used to build relationships amongst residents.
