On 14th May 2024, during a professional boxing bout, I faced a tragedy that changed my life forever. My opponent tragically lost his life, a gut-wrenching experience that left both his family and mine devastated. This shocking incident has been compounded by the lack of support and compassion from the promotion team involved and the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC).

Following this tragic event, I have not received any financial payment for the bout, which has left me financially and emotionally devastated. Boxing was more than just a career to me; it was my livelihood, my bread and butter. With no qualifications outside of the ring, this has been a crushing blow.

I am petitioning for a thorough investigation into the events surrounding the bout, to uncover the truth and ensure justice is served. It is crucial that any negligence or misconduct by promoters or trainers is addressed. Those who have acted with deceit or shown a blatant disregard for fighter welfare should be held accountable.

The world of boxing should never turn a blind eye to such serious issues. It is no secret that numerous boxing promoters and trainers exhibit abusive behavior towards fighters. This culture of neglect endangers lives and tarnishes the integrity of the sport. It is time for change.

This is not just about my personal story; it is about ensuring that all fighters, present and future, are treated with dignity and respect. The boxing community must prioritize the safety and well-being of its athletes, and this can only happen through transparency and accountability.
