As a member of the Fulton community and a student in the Fulton City School District, I am deeply concerned that our new Red Dragon mascot does not truly represent us. This is not just about an image or a symbol; it's about having something we can take pride in and feel represents our unique community and school culture. The new mascot was introduced without sufficient consultation with students, parents, staff or alumni, just a few simple google form was how the mascot/name was chosen. It fails to reflect the diversity and spirit of our school community in Fulton, NY. 

Fulton is known for its strong sense of community and shared values. Our school should have a mascot that embodies these qualities rather than an arbitrary figure like the Red Dragon.

We urge the decision-makers at our school to reconsider this choice and engage in an more inclusive process to select a new mascot image - one which truly represents who we are as a vibrant educational institution rooted in its local culture.
