I'm sure most of you have already seen, but quick update - Lakeland is drafting up a moratorium. The first hearing will be held on July 6th, with a public hearing held on July 20th. Here's the link to a news article that featured our petition:

Proud of all of us here (even if you're not in Lakeland or Polk County signing, thank you). You can know that our voices together, with almost 1400 signatures, is getting their attention.

Keep talking about it, keep sharing. Lets keep up the pressure. 

Even if they go for a moratorium, the fight won't end. We have to keep our eyes on it so we don't get surprised by sleight of hand tricks. It might be for only a year, or even less, and in the meantime the developers will continue relentlessly to pitch it differently. So, gear up for a long fight.
