Far too often, UK elections are decided not by a majority, but by a divided vote - leaving many of us feeling unrepresented and forced into tactical voting. It's time for that to change.

We’re calling for the UK to adopt Ranked Choice Voting (also known as the Alternative Vote). This system lets voters rank candidates by preference. If no one wins a majority in the first round, the least popular candidate is eliminated, and their votes are redistributed based on second choices - until someone secures majority support.

✅ No more voting for “the lesser evil.”
✅ No more winning with a minority of support.

In a recent poll, Brits said they would rather vote for any other party than have Reform UK in government. Yet under our current system, they could still win seats or wield power with a fraction of the vote. A ranked system would ensure such outcomes reflect genuine majority will.

We’ve launched an official petition on the UK Parliament site to demand action from government. Once we hit 10,000 signatures, the Government must respond. At 100,000, it could be debated in Parliament.
