Demand a Comprehensive Investigation into the Safeguarding Scandals & Errors Covered Up

The Issue

What you are about to read is such a taboo subject, nobody wants to talk about it.

Even my protests in the Parliament building, Westminster, on the 17th of December 2017 - fell on deaf ears.

The unspeakable question is -

What should happen when a child finds their Mum dead - just moments after their Dad has left the house following an argument?

This is the unbelievable back-story;

2004

Due to my having to deal with an OFSTED first thing Monday the 8th of March 2004, my former boyfriend returned his 7-year old son to his maternal home a few hours earlier than usual after his son had spent the week-end with us.

When my boyfriend returned, he was very silent and behaved strangely.

Then a phone-call to my home notified us that his son had found his mother dead.

Within hours, the shy, traumatised offspring of my former boyfriend was deposited with me and abandoned by the Greater Manchester Police; and every other council tax service, authority, regulator and ombudsman that I went to for help in the decade afterwards.

Unbeknown to me at the time, my former boyfriend was under suspicion for the death of his son's mother.

By August 2004, my ex's escalating violence led to me to being hospitalised in A & E. Even after his son had nominated me as his main carer and I had separated from his father, the police Failed To Act in response to my 999 calls and my pleas for help.

2005

The photo above was taken when I took the amazingly courageous motherless child to visit his deceased Mum's best friend in Ireland during the summer school holidays of 2005.

Two decades of cover-up 2004 to 2024.

Unfortunately, over 2 decades later, there has been no satisfactory clarification about the protocols that should have been followed when a child finds their parent dead.

The authorities, instead of providing the reassurances and justice deserved, have instead consistently sought to cover-up this shameful failing in safeguarding processes.

In an Ipswich court room in July 2022 it was verified that I had turned down 19 offers of financial compensation from Suffolk Constabulary; except the press were ordered by the Judge not to report my refusal to be silenced.

This type of safeguarding scandal is so shameful, the authorities have used many resources and different strategies to silence me.

Surely the covered-up errors and scandal behind the boy's tragedy hint at a bigger problem on par with other scandals that have come to light recently?

Rampant errors, procedural negligence and a lack of accountability disproportionately affect the most vulnerable of society. For justice to prevail, these systemic safeguarding issues must be rectified.

We are demanding a comprehensive review into these and other such instances, where the authorities have demonstrated a lack of transparency, have failed to prioritize child safety, covered up violence, abuse and financial fraud against women whilst repeatedly dismissing these serious concerns that I have raised for over 2 decades.

The topic of my protests were too unbelievable;

1) What happens to a kid when they find their Mum dead after their parents had an argument?

2) What happens to the girlfriend who has the adorable and vulnerable son of her boyfriend dumped on her doorstep within hours of finding his mother dead?

The past will always remain as a painful memory for the victims and other similar cases of negligence that I am aware of. However, by demanding change and accountability, we can help ensure that these mistakes are not repeated in the future.

PLEASE sign this petition today & share.

HELP me demand accountability, and ensure that lessons are learned and that council tax services adhere to a Duty Of Care for little children who suffer an unspeakable tragedy.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME IN READING THIS PETITION.
