We, the people of Assam, the Northeast, and millions of admirers of Zubeen Garg across India and abroad, are devastated and enraged by the mysterious and untimely death of our cultural icon. Zubeen Garg was not just a singer—he was the soul of Assam, a voice of unity, and a symbol of pride for our people. His sudden death has raised countless unanswered questions, and we refuse to let this matter be silenced.

 

Why has this case been handed over to the CID and not to the CBI, especially when it involves sensitive cross-border circumstances and links between two countries? A case of this magnitude requires nothing less than the highest and most transparent level of investigation. The people have every right to demand clarity.

 

We demand the following, without compromise:

 

1.Immediate transfer of the case to the CBI for a fair, transparent, and unbiased investigation.

 

2. Full disclosure of facts about the circumstances leading to Zubeen Garg’s death.

 

3. A thorough probe into all persons of interest, including Siddharth Sharma, Shyamkanu Mahanta, Sekhar jyoti goswami, Amrit Prabha and anyone else possibly involved—without political, social, or financial shielding.

 

4. Public accountability from the Government of Assam and the Central Government on why the case was given to CID and not escalated to CBI despite the international angle.

 

5. Swift legal action against anyone found guilty of negligence, conspiracy, or foul play.

 

 

Zubeen Garg was not just an artist; he was an institution. His voice inspired generations, and his sudden loss has shaken the foundation of Assamese culture. We will not accept silence, half-truths, or diversion.
