After taking down the previous statue, it’s only fair to rename the square after a true hero. Thomas Cottingham was murdered after protecting a woman & child here at night from a man wielding a knife. Let us rename this after our local hero. The whole state of Delaware and the country was moved by this selfless act. May Thomas live on forever!
