Welfare of Foxhounds to be monitored
0 have signed. Let’s get to 5,000!
It is estimated that around 4,000 Foxhounds are clubbed to death or shot EVERY year if found unsuitable or show weakness. Week old pups are killed if they are not found strong enough. Unsuitable or old dogs should be re-homed instead of being killed.
It is seen as normal to shoot & incinerate hounds when they are no longer productive or if they fail in any way. They are killed at half their life expectancy of around 4-5 years of age.
Hounds are punished if they chase the wrong scent. As soon as they are born they are taught to be savage usually by throwing an innocent fox cub to them which is not their natural instinct. If they are found not to be savage enough they are removed. Old dogs are replaced in a constant cycle & shot without remorse & burned. More hounds are bred than needed. Some hounds are killed when out hunting and they deserve better,
