195+ Strong — Our Remonstrance is Gaining Momentum in North Carolina!
Dear Fellow North Carolinians,
Great news — we've now reached 195 signers on the petition, and the movement to push back against Governor Stein's controversial Ramadan proclamation continues to grow!
Your signatures and voices are making a difference. People across our state are actively reaching out to their elected representatives, and the response has been encouraging.
One senator received an email from a concerned North Carolinian that included substantial comments along with a copy of our Remonstrance (Denunciation) document. Within minutes, the senator replied: "Thank you for the email and we are meeting in 3 weeks. This will certainly be addressed."
Additionally, we've sent the full Remonstrance to all Republican Senators and House Members. While we haven't received responses yet, many may be reviewing it, and we expect this important issue to be addressed on both floors of the legislature.
People across our state are continuing to contact their representatives and keep this matter top of mind. If you haven't already, please consider calling or emailing your district representatives as well. Together, we're reminding our leaders that North Carolina values our Constitution, our rule of law, and the Christian ethics that formed our common law system of government — principles that are fundamentally opposed to any form of religious law that conflicts with them.
What's next? Keep the momentum going!
Share the petition widely with friends, family, neighbors, and the folks of our great state. Every new signature strengthens our collective voice. Email, texts and social media platforms are a great way to continue raising awareness. Link to the petition: https://c.org/2L2Gt7Qy8P
Visit our dedicated resource site for 6 practical steps you can take beyond signing: https://wethepeopleofnc.carrd.co/ There you'll find downloadable PDFs of the full Remonstrance and a Resolution template that counties can use to formally remonstrate and denounce the Governor's proclamation.
Your continued engagement — sharing, contacting representatives, and spreading awareness — is what will keep this issue alive and drive real action in our state.
Thank you for standing up for our Christian ethics, our American way of life, and for holding our public servants accountable to the oath they took to uphold the Constitution and our unique rule of law. We're making real progress because of dedicated Americans like you. Let’s stand strong together and continue to defend what makes North Carolina — and America — exceptional.
In liberty,
Cheryl D., one of We The People of the State of North Carolina
