Dear supporters, friends and family, It is with great relief and immense gratitude that I announce what "Evan just posted to Facebook: This statement cost $850,000 in legal fees and almost eight years of my life after corrupt members of the Australian Army illegally altered my service record on the Commonwealth database then sought to cover it up. Today the Commonwealth paid me $1 million in compensation and all of the legal fees I incurred. No one has been charged with an offence. Thank you Phoebe Donaldson for sticking by me. I love you." While I will declare "victory" on the petition, we never got an independent investigation so those who harmed us haven't been held to account. We are ok with God's justice and are glad for the chance to move forward and start the healing process. We have so many people to thank that it's quite overwhelming. For everyone who supported us, signed and shared our petition, wrote letters for us, checked on us, fed us, thought of us and prayed for us, we are eternally grateful. In particular, this would never have gotten across the line without the independent senators and their staff - Senator Jacqui Lambie, and Senator Nick Xenophon. I also want to thank Don Tate for originally sharing my petition, and Michael Von Berg the President, of the RAR Association, for his moral courage in bothering to seek the facts and learn the truth.
