I hope you all are staying safe and doing well, both mentally and physically, during this unprecedented time. Even though our campaigning efforts have taken a bit of backseat during COVID-19, I’m pleased to share some exciting new updates.

We have launched our very own online Australian Medicinal Cannabis training for healthcare professionals. It is funded 100% by United in Compassion and has been a long while coming. Click here to learn more about the program.

During Dan’s cancer journey, doctors were frequently shocked or confused about our efforts to legalise cannabis. My hope is to educate healthcare professionals through this program, so they feel comfortable and competent to consider this treatment.

Last week, we also launched a new industry association, the Australian Medicinal Cannabis Association (AMCA). We envision it as an inclusive space for committed individuals and organisations to advocate for a patient-centric medicinal cannabis system in Australia. You can check out more details here.

Lastly, I want to let you know that the UIC Australian Medicinal Cannabis Symposium has been postponed to 2021 due to COVID-19. I’ll keep you updated on further details.
