Our hard work is paying off. Today, The Greens won support for a parliamentary inquiry into medicinal cannabis access and regulation.  The Government opposed, but Labor and crossbench senators helped The Greens get it over the line. I’m grateful to them all.

Can you chip in to the #FixDansLaw fixing fund fund?

The Senate's community affairs committee will look at the suitability of medicinal cannabis for government subsidies through the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme. It will also compare Australia's regime to other countries and investigate training and education of doctors in relation to the treatment. The committee is due to report on February 12, 2020.

This is an important step in getting proper patient access to medicinal cannabis. It’s all thanks to the hard work of many, many people, but we can see a direct link from the recent lobbying efforts in Canberra to this inquiry announcement - and that work would not have happened without your support to our #FixDansLaw fixing fund. If you contributed, I can’t thank you enough. It means the world to know you’re in United in Compassion’s corner.

We have a lot to do, and we want to be there every step of the way of this inquiry. Please keep following along with our updates, and if you can, please support our fixing fund so we can keep fighting for proper patient access to medicinal cannabis.

Thank you,

Lucy Haslam
