Our beautiful country, diverse in religions and ethnic background, celebrates all cultures. We have come to live as a community and populated regions best where suited us economically. As such we learnt so much from one another. At the end of the day, we are all Kenyan. 

My request to the Ministry of Interior to declare Oct 25th a holiday as that is the official new year celebrated in the Hindu calendar. 

Diwali is celebrated around the country by Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and now by many people who celebrate culture with friends. 

This request also goes to the President William Ruto. His first Diwali as he begins his term as President of the Republic of Kenya.
