Declare a Nationwide Holiday on 23rd January honoring Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's legacy

The Issue

I am writing to bring to your attention the critical need to declare January 23rd as a national holiday in reverence to the remarkable legacy of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. This call is not only rooted in historical significance but also reflects the collective sentiment of the citizens who deeply respect and honor his contributions to our nation.

**Who All Are Impacted?**

The impact of declaring January 23rd as a national holiday extends to every citizen of our country. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's sacrifices and tireless efforts in India's struggle for independence resonate with people across age groups and backgrounds. Recognizing this day as a national holiday would not only acknowledge his pivotal role but also allow citizens to reflect on our shared history and values.

**What Is At Stake?**

At stake is the opportunity to pay homage to one of the most influential leaders in our struggle for freedom. Netaji's unwavering dedication, commitment to justice, and vision for an inclusive and independent India deserve the highest honor. By declaring January 23rd a national holiday, we ensure that future generations understand the significance of his contributions and the sacrifices made by countless individuals during our fight for independence.

**Why Is Now the Time to Act Upon This More Than Ever?**

The recent declaration of January 22nd as a half-day in light of the inauguration of the Ram Mandir highlights shows the goverments unwillingness to declare netaji's birthday as a national holiday. If ram mandir can be seen so auspicious which it is , but cannot be more than what freedom fighters like netaji did. If our country would have been still under british raj , can anyone say that we would have been allowed to build such a huge ram mandir? . The time is ripe to extend this acknowledgment to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's legacy by declaring January 23rd as a national holiday. As we strive for a more inclusive and diverse society, recognizing the contributions of leaders like Netaji becomes imperative to fostering a sense of unity and pride among our citizens.

In conclusion, the declaration of January 23rd as a national holiday is a symbolic gesture that goes beyond honoring a historical figure; it is an affirmation of our commitment to preserving and cherishing the ideals that shaped our nation. I urge you to consider this petition with the utmost urgency, aligning with the sentiments of the people and the precedent set by recent acknowledgments of historical events.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Please sign the petition as much as you can share it. So that we can atleast give this much of honour to the forgotten hero of our nation.
