A Climate Change Act is a potential game-changer! Urge your MP to vote for it!
On 23rd March, Zali Steggall MP will introduce a private member’s bill for a Climate Change Act to Parliament and call for a conscience vote. Dr Kate Charlesworth spoke on behalf of health professionals at the launch of the bill in Canberra.

Climate change is a health issue that risks undermining the last 50 years in public health gains
A Climate Change Act would mean that the health sector could put into action, plans to adapt to and mitigate climate-health risks
Climate action is a tremendous opportunity for health: many climate actions such as renewable energy, cleaner transport and greener cities would mean cleaner air, healthier communities and safer and more liveable cities.
