Justice for Ponce is a group supporting the amendment that was proposed to the current felony aggravated animal cruelty statute. It was signed by Governor Rick Scott on April 23, 2018 and takes effect on October 1, 2018. It also includes putting procedures into place in shelters for Lost or Stray Animals in the event of a disaster to help give time to find their owners etc. The reason for this petition was to show support not only for changing the law but also to keep its supporters up to date on current events having to do with the criminal case against Travis Archer his accused killer/owner and also any and all events in support of Justice for Ponce's KILLING which will play out in the court system. There are some misinformed people that seem to think that this is a legal document. It is not. It was used during the process of passing Ponce's Law, It is to keep the issues current for people to follow and share so others can know what happened to Ponce, to be informed about Ponce's Law SB 1576, and to stay up to date in what is happening in the court system with Ponce's abuser/killer. It will be presented as support for a conviction in the criminal case once it returns to the lower court from the appellate court.
