Hi All

Public Comments are due by Sept 23rd. If you haven't written one yet, (or you'd like to write another one!) PLEASE DO!  We need a lot of comments to be submitted to put pressure on the park.   You can read THIS description of what's going on, the alternatives on the table, and really good points to add to your comment.  

If you haven't called Jared Huffman and Diane Feinstein, PLEASE DO!  Below are there numbers and a short script you can use when you call:

"I am calling to make sure you take a stand to protect wildlife. Point Reyes National Seashore's preferred alternative hands over our public land to 24 ranching families. I visit the park to see wildlife, NOT the cows. I am AGAINST ranching in the seashore and want you to support Alternative F-- the only true alternative that will protect the land, the water, the biodiversity and the Tule Elk."

This past weekend we had a great turn out at Point Reyes.  A group came out to protest the park's plan to choose industry over wildlife!  We did a real-time public survey where we asked visitors to the park if they were there to see wildlife or cows.  SURPRISE SURPRISE the results were overwhelmingly to see WILDLIFE.  When asked if people wanted the park to kill the Tule Elk, an almost extinct species... NO ONE wanted the park to do that.
