As a lifelong fan of Death Jr., I’m writing to urge you to bring back this 2005 PSP/DS gem. Its Tim Burton-esque dark humor, teen drama, and co-op action—following DJ, the Grim Reaper’s son—captivated me with its unique charm. Despite modest sales (~500K units), its quirky vibe left a lasting impression on me and deserves a second chance.

The gaming industry’s remake boom shows the timing is perfect: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (20M+ sales) and Silent Hill 2 Remake (1M+ sales in 2024) prove 2000s titles thrive on Switch, PS5, and PC. Death Jr.’s spooky, witty style aligns with hits like Hades (2M+ sales) and Cult of the Lamb, appealing to new players via TikTok or Twitch. A low-budget remaster with updated controls or an indie-style reboot could be a Halloween-timed hit, leveraging its gothic appeal.

As the IP owner, Bandai Namco could license this to a small studio, like Contra: Operation Galuga in 2024. Please consider reviving Death Jr.—I’d love to see DJ return for a new generation!
