Hi everyone, I wanted to post a final update as I close this petition: Yesterday I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from the Hon. Caroline Mulroney, Ontario's Transportation Minister, regarding this petition. She let me know that we caught the government’s attention and how this petition was used as part of their decision making process thus far. As a result, changes were made yesterday (removing components of the G test in order to speed up the process and decrease the backlog of tests). Although not the outcome that was suggested, this was done to address the problem we were raising awareness of: in my eyes, this is a win for everyone. I wanted to first say thank you- this change wouldn’t have happened without YOU. Thank you for believing in this message and for your support. Together we collected over 176, 143 views, 7,691 shares, and a total of over 20,000 signatures! This was beyond anything I ever expected. In the beginning, I had quite a few people reach out to tell me that this was stupid, that it would never take off, and how it was ridiculous to think that a petition could ever make a change. I wanted to post this to serve as a reminder that change doesn’t occur without action. I hope you feel a sense of pride knowing that you were a part of the changes made yesterday. Keep fighting for what you believe in, regardless of the opinions of others. And finally, if you are still waiting on a test, I hope these adjustments allow for you to book (and pass!) a test soon. Thanks again and all the best in your future. Rebekah Feld
