27th February 2020 (EET) - Coronavirus case diagnosed in Helsinki, Finland

One person in the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa has been diagnosed with a coronavirus infection. The case was confirmed with a laboratory test. The infection came from Milan, Northern Italy.

The patient is in inpatient care at the University Hospital of Helsinki. The patient is in good condition.

The Hospital District and local health care authorities will continue to investigate the situation and contact the patient's  close contacts together with the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).
