The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) made an announcement on 27 October 2014 that they will file an Appeal against the verdict and sentence handed down by Judge Thokozile Masipa in State vs Oscar Pistorius. We believe that the NPA applied thorough decision-making,giving consideration to legislative frameworks and decided cases to come to the conclusion to file an Appeal in pursuit of justice. We believe that our Campaign for an Appeal provided the NPA with some insight of the public perspective. We congratulate the NPA on the decision to Appeal as it will ensure that justice is served. The women in South Africa deserves an Appeal in the State versus Oscar Pistorius case.
