Over 1000 signatures! Thank you - and government news!

Well, well, well! What a couple of days it has been.

Firstly, thank you to everyone who has been signing this. petition and sharing. We have now received more than 1000 signatures in just 3 days which is incredible. I can assure you that James Tillitt, Artistic Director of the Astor Community Theatre gives his thanks to each and every one of you. 

As many of you will have seen, the UK government have announced their £1.57 billion of support to arts venues across the nation. We are very thankful this has (finally) been announced. We have to wait to see how much of this actually trickles down to our small theatre in Deal as further details have yet to be announced. 

In the meantime, it's still important to sign and share this petition. The emergency funding proposal for the Astor Community Theatre has been sitting with Deal Town Council since March and they are set to debate the issue on July 28th. There hasn't much urgency here and we want to make sure the Astor is on the top of the agenda.
