Even with its shortcomings, mixed reviews and somewhat underperformed sales in the last installations, there are a lot of signs that the Dead Rising franchise is still alive.
Moreso after the announcement of the next-gen remaster of Dead Rising 1, titled: 'Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster'.
From forums and videos still discussing the games, Dead Rising was for a fact popular and successful.
The modern overall sales are unknown, but seeing Dead Rising 4 atop the list of Capcom's Dead Rising page, and the Dead Rising games being on a decent spot on PlayStation's best selling suggests that the franchise is still selling well.
I believe that a next gen Dead Rising 5 formed by all of the best aspects that the eight installations of Dead Rising had to offer, would make the sequel great.
