Team Depp is seeking to compel Ms. Heard to undergo an independent mental examination. This is a Rule 4:10 Motion for an Independent Mental Examination.

The reason for the request is that Heard is claiming that Depp’s alleged abuse left her with damages to her reputation and embarrassment and humiliation, as well as emotional damage. That opens the door for Team Depp to question exactly what Heard’s emotional state was at the time, and what it still is, ongoing. It is absolutely relevant and timely, so an independent mental health evaluation is most definitely called for.

Team Heard will undoubtedly fight against the evaluation, pulling out all stops to keep it from happening. There are, however, many in the public that think that Heard should be evaluated. They think that if she’s properly diagnosed, perhaps she can begin to get some help.

Barring that, there are those that think that if nothing else, perhaps it’s possible that baby Oonagh can be removed from the care of a potentially dangerous parent and placed in a safer environment. There has been a great deal of concern expressed for the safety of the child, especially lately, with pictures surfacing that seemingly show Heard getting behind the wheel to drive while intoxicated.

The hearing before Judge Azcarate is set for 9/24/21.
