Fans of Johnny Depp are furious that the actor has been fired from two major movie franchises while his abusive ex continues to work. 

Depp has lost roles in the Pirates of the Caribbean and Fantastic Beasts movie franchises because of allegations by his ex-wife Amber Heard that he was violent during their tumultuous marriage. Meanwhile, Heard is apparently still involved with the Aquaman movie franchise opposite Jason Momoa. 

Now, Depp fans have taken to social media in a last-ditch bid to get the actress fired from Aquaman 2, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and get Depp rehired to both Pirates and Fantastic Beasts. 

If that doesn't happen, scores of fans have promised to boycott Aquaman 2, as well as anything else put out by Warner Bros due to the injustice. 

I don't think fans need to worry, however. Amber Heard is still in AM2 because she had a preexisting contract, not because of any new negotiations. And, judging by Heard's IMDB, she's got nothing new coming up. And it's highly unlikely that she will get many new film projects, if any. Not only are there the ongoing legal woes with Depp, Heard was heard on tape admitting to abusing Depp without remorse.

Heard also has a history of domestic violence, including an arrest for violence against her ex-wife Tasya Van Ree. 

There is an outcry among the public saying that if a man had committed these acts, with a history of domestic violence, he would have received much harsher penalties in Hollywood. Just look at what's happened to Johnny Depp based on unsubstantiated accusations.

I think things are going to turn around. I think Heard will face repercussions for her actions, despite her recently acquired motherhood. The public doesn't want to see her in movies, as her recent flop, Gully might testify to. And, sooner or later, the studios are going to have to pay attention. It's the public that pays for tickets. Or, in this case, it's the public who don't. 

Heard has a history of domestic abuse. 

Johnny Depp is one of the most beloved figures in Hollywood, with a loyal fan base and a history of being a genuinely nice guy. He'll continue to work, and, once he's cleared his name, this nasty business with his ex will be put firmly in his rear view mirror. 

Heard may very well never work in Hollywood again.

We'll have to wait and see.
